Dan Rutledge is the in-house Director for Skylark's film/video production unit and the creative lead for media design projects. Dan produced and directed Skylark's 12-episode television series American Entrepreneur and wrote the feature film The Grid, which he is slated to direct in 2008. Mr. Rutledge received a Telly award for directing a commercial for TITAN Technology Partners and was recently the lead developer for Lavoroh.com, an online-training portal being utilized by several multi-national corporations.
Prior to Skylark, Dan was owner of Spotlight Media, a web design and video production company in Los Angeles. While with Spotlight, Dan wrote and directed the pilot episode of The Sparky Chronicles, the award-winning action-adventure series for teens distributed by Gospel Communications. In addition, Mr. Rutledge provided graphic design, animation, and web database application development for numerous clients including: Mercedes Benz, Block Imaging, AtHome America, Sona Med Spa, and the Media Access Group. In 1999, Dan directed the short film The Window for the Christian Broadcast Network and was recognized with Telly, Angel, and Cine awards. That same year, his music video for artist Janet Paschal won the National Religious Broadcasters' Award of Excellence. Dan Rutledge graduated with highest distinction from the University of Michigan’s department of Film and Video Studies and completed his M.A. in Communication at Regent University. Dan is married to his college sweatheart Angel, has four children, and is actively involved in Church at Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. |
