Dee Dixon is publisher of Pride Magazine, a local publication distributed in Charlotte North Carolina designed to serve African Americans and improve their quality of life. The writing is stylish, sassy and radiates the African-American voice. Under Ms. Dixon’s leadership, Pride has given approximately $100,000 over its lifetime to organizations including: The Charlotte Housing Authority, The Afro-American Cultural Center, and YMCA Project Starfish. A Charlotte resident, Ms. Dixon was recognized as the finalist of the 2003 Goody's Powders Community Leader of the Year Awards. Dixon spends her personal time serving on a variety of boards, volunteering for public speaking engagements and doing community service with a organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and the Charlotte Chamber.
