Cynthia Carlson of Campbell/Carlson Cynthia Carlson is a co-founder and principal at Campbell/Carlson, a highly specialized technology-focused executive recruiting firm. Prior to starting Campbell/Carlson, Ms. Carlson was Vice President for the Information Technology Division of Personnel Group of America (PGA), a $1 billion public consulting and staffing company. In 1983, Ms. Carlson founded and subsequently built Carlson Compute into the largest privately owned technology-training firm in the Carolina’s region. In 1997, she merged Carlson Compute with a strategic buyer, IKON. Ms. Carlson was appointed to head the $100 million Technology Education Division of IKON. In 1998, she was awarded the Neel Award by the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce for outstanding individual contribution to the region's technology industry. Ms. Carlson serves on the Board of Visitors to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) and the McColl School of Business at Queens College. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors to the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte, the College of Information Technology at UNC Charlotte and the Ben Craig Technology Incubator Center. Ms. Carlson is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
